What Does Invisalign Do?

An Invisalign treatment typically lasts from 9 to 15 months, but every patient’s case is different, and we will discuss your timeline with you. Prior to beginning your treatment, we will customize initial aligners or trays that will be custom fit to your teeth and your individualized treatment plan. Wearing the aligners will gently move your teeth into place little by little, based on the exact movements Dr. Willett plans for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You pop in a new set of aligners every week until your treatment is complete.

Is There An Age Limit?

At Lincoln Orthodontics, we do our very best to dispel the misconception that because some patients are in their adult years that Invisalign or other conventional treatments won’t work for them. During adulthood, teeth and jaws still tend to move around even if there were previous orthodontic corrections or treatments. We have found that Invisalign is the option most adult patients enjoy the most because they don’t even notice them due to their near invisibility.

We believe that our adult patients place a higher value on Invisalign’s convenience. Adults are likely to wear their trays as prescribed and stay consistent with the treatment. Adults who have had other orthodontic treatment recognize the benefit and are often excellent patients.
