    Kids Invisalign

At Lincoln Orthodontics in Lincoln, Nebraska, we see patients at all stages of their life. As we age, our teeth can experience movement due to shifting of the lower jaw, changes in bone density, and/or tooth grinding. If you wore braces when you were younger, chances are you may need them again. Invisalign is an excellent option for many patients who prefer a bright, unencumbered smile while getting their treatment. Emily Willett, DDS, offers this option to patients as she has seen its benefits in teens and adults.

    What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a form of correction treatment similar to braces, except there is no wiring or glue needed. The name is what you get, invisible treatment. The clear plastic appears as if there is absolutely nothing on your teeth while it works to improve that brilliant smile. Invisalign aligners are removable, making them convenient to take out while eating. After eating, simply clean the aligners and put them back onto the teeth.

    What Does Invisalign Do?

An Invisalign treatment typically lasts from 9 to 15 months, but every patient’s case is different, and we will discuss your timeline with you. Prior to beginning your treatment, we will customize initial aligners or trays that will be custom fit to your teeth and your individualized treatment plan. Wearing the aligners will gently move your teeth into place little by little, based on the exact movements Dr. Willett plans for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You pop in a new set of aligners every week until your treatment is complete.

    Is There An Age Limit?

At Lincoln Orthodontics, we do our very best to dispel the misconception that because some patients are in their adult years that Invisalign or other conventional treatments won’t work for them. During adulthood, teeth and jaws still tend to move around even if there were previous orthodontic corrections or treatments. We have found that Invisalign is the option most adult patients enjoy the most because they don’t even notice them due to their near invisibility.

We believe that our adult patients place a higher value on Invisalign’s convenience. Adults are likely to wear their trays as prescribed and stay consistent with the treatment. Adults who have had other orthodontic treatment recognize the benefit and are often excellent patients.

    The Cost of Invisalign

At Lincoln Orthodontics, we do our very best to provide you with quality care and treatment while working with you and your family’s budget. For this reason, we offer our treatments, including Invisalign, at the same price! The cost of treatment is therefore dependent on the complexity of treatment rather than what is used to get the job done. We want our patients to choose their treatment based on their personal aesthetic and functional goals and not have to decide based on cost.

We also offer flexible payment plans and automatic bank drafts, and we will file claims with your insurance company for orthodontic benefits, so you don’t have to do that yourself. Our team of experienced, compassionate, and helpful treatment coordinators will be happy to go over the cost with you at your first free consultation.

Dr. Willett and our team work hard to make sure you understand all the options and get the best treatment plan for the development of your smile. No matter what age group you are in, we will make sure your aesthetic goals are met while keeping your smile in mind.
