Invisalign treatment usually takes about 9 to 15 months on average, but keep in mind that every patient’s mouth is different, so no two orthodontic treatment timelines will look the same. Typically, the Invisalign process looks like this:
- Schedule a free consultation with Dr. Willett on a day and time that works for you.
- Dr. Willett will do a comprehensive, oral exam.
- We will take a 3-D X-ray to see where your teeth and jaw are at the beginning of the treatment and determine the underlying foundation and health of those structures
- An airway assessment will be completed to determine the possible impact of orthodontic treatment.
- Dr. Willett will take a digital scan of your teeth with our intraoral scanner to create a 3-D image of your mouth.
- We’ll review the expected treatment outcomes with a treatment simulator.
- Depending on your approval, Dr. Willett will then use that information to create a treatment plan made just for you. This is when your exact timeline will be laid out for you.
There’s no pressure to commit right away! Take some time to think about it if you need to. If you decide to proceed with Invisalign, your custom-fit aligners will be manufactured.
