Are the Costs Different for Each Braces Option?

At Lincoln Orthodontics, we believe that patients should be able to choose their treatment type based on their own aesthetic goals and not based on price, which is why we offer both our braces options at the same cost. However, just like every person is different, every smile and treatment plan is unique in its own way.

What Braces Options are Offered at Lincoln Orthodontics?

We offer two options for our patients who are in need of treatment with braces.

Metal Braces

Our most popular option for braces is metal braces. This treatment is primarily made with materials that work together to straighten your smile over time, including:

• Metal brackets
• A metal wire
• Orthodontic bands
• O-rings
• Occasionally with metal braces treatment, elastic ties will be added to your daily routine for bite correction.

With metal braces, You can count on the strength, durability, and affordability of traditional metal braces as they are repeatedly the top form of treatment for orthodontic patients year after year, across the world.

Ceramic Braces

Another great option for braces treatment is ceramic braces. At Lincoln Orthodontics, our clear braces are smaller brackets and are usually paired with clear, white, or tooth-colored wires and elastic ties – making them almost invisible. This option is especially attractive if you are an aesthetic-minded adult or teen.

The main differences between the two options are:

• The materials they are made with
• The look of them on the patient’s teeth
• Their durability

Because ceramic braces are smaller and not made of metal, something to note is that they do have a higher tendency to chip or crack under pressure or after being hit.

• Receive payment directly from the insurance company, thereby reducing the amount you pay upfront

*NOTE: We only submit to primary insurance. However, we will provide you with the documents you need to submit to a secondary insurance carrier.
